December to mid-March is the calving season in the Serengeti. Great game viewing in the open plains

April to May marks the long rainy season and the migration moves west. By the end of May pastures are exhausted and migration moves north. Ruttiing and mating occurs through June.

Around July or August the migration crosses the Mara river and enters the Masai Mara until October, when you can witness the spectacular river crossing
